King's Head XXXVII Regatta
Featuring a 2.8 mile (4,500 meter) course with 2 bridges to navigate. The King's Head on the Schuylkill Regatta was founded on November 11, 1986, and held its first race on September 27, 1987. The event has been held annually on the last Sunday in September for over 30 years, with only a single date change during this time so as not to conflict with Pope Francis' 2015 visit to Philadelphia. Boathouse parking lot: $10 cash or Venmo only.
Public Garage Alternative: Additional public parking is available just across the DeKalb Street Bridge at the Norristown Transportation Center Parking Garage (located at 42 E Lafayette St, Norristown, PA 19401), roughly a quarter-mile from the boathouse, a 13-minutes walk to the boathouse.
Dogs are not allowed at this venue.
Our rowers need your help
Hospitality
Tent allotments are limited at King's Head, only 20 tent sites, so, we will offer partial hospitality.
We will have one 10' x 10' white tent and a couple of tables for food and drinks. We are not able to bring our trailer or the grill etc. so we need help bring items from the trailer in Radnor to the tent at the event. Also, our rowers need fueling during regattas so, please SIGN UP for the list of items our rowers would like.
The chuckwagon is parked in the parking lot of Radnor Memorial Field - map attached .
