Pow-OAR March Matchness
Dear Radnor Boys Crew Club Families,
Spring is our main season of competition at RBCC. The next three months will be exciting as we compete in 9 regattas along the Schuylkill River!
RBCC is a club sport with minimal financial contributions from the school district so we rely on the generous contributions from our families and supporters. We compete against programs with significantly larger budgets, dedicated facilities, and far greater institutional funding. Yet our athletes show up every day ready to work — and they represent Radnor with grit and pride.
This year, we are trying something new with spring fundraising. We are launching our first-ever direct giving campaign — POW-OAR March Matchness.
We are thrilled that we have a donor who has offered to match every dollar we raise in the month of March.
That means:
Double the impact.
Double the momentum.
Double the maroon.
We have set a goal of $25,000 in donations which means $50,000 for the club with our donor match! This will make a significant impact on our club in the following ways:
-
Maintain and repair boats, oars, and safety launches
-
Offset regatta and transportation costs
-
Invest in coaching and athlete development
-
Keep rowing accessible to every athlete, regardless of financial situation
-
Strengthen and sustain public rowing in our community
-
Save for our future home
This is about more than fundraising. It’s about ensuring that every athlete who wants to row has the opportunity to compete — and win — at a high level.
Here’s how every family can help us unlock the full match:
-
Make a donation — at any level that is meaningful to your family. Every dollar is doubled!
-
Share the campaign with grandparents, friends, neighbors, and colleagues.
-
Spread the word via email, text, and social media so we extend beyond our immediate circle.
If every family participates and helps bring in just a few additional supporters, we will reach our goal of $25,000 and maximize the match.
Let’s pow-oar forward together and show what a family-powered team can accomplish.
Thank you for supporting these athletes and for being the engine behind this club.
With appreciation,
Radnor Boys Crew Club
