Radnor Boys Crew Club is a 501(c)(3) parent-run and parent-funded club within Radnor High School. Because of the high cost of equipment, our commitment to coaching excellence and rising boathouse costs, fundraising is necessary to keep our dues manageable.
Fundraising is a culture within all crew clubs, both high school and collegiate. Please note that while RBCC parents plan and organize fundraisers, the intention is to draw additional funding from the community, not to place additional financial burden on our RBCC families. We understand that rowing is not an inexpensive sport, and our fundraising efforts help defray costs. All fundraising proceeds are used for operating expenses, equipment and scholarships.
Ways to support our crew
Fall 2026 Fundraiser
On September 20, 2026 RBCC and RGCC will be hosting our annual Ergathon. This is the primary fundraiser for RBCC during the fall season. This year Ergathon and Wayne Fall Festival will be happening simultaneously. In order for this fundraiser to be a success we need everyone to participate--food/beverage donations, selling raffle tickets the day of event, collecting donations, helping with set-up or tear down, and of course, vocally supporting our rowers as they erg! We need everyone throughout the day.
On Wednesday, September 9, 2026, after practice, each team member will receive their fall fundraising packet. Each packet will include specific fundraising details, corporate sponsorship paperwork, a suggested script for soliciting donations, 165 raffle tickets, and a tracker so each rower can keep a running tally of how much they have raised.
This year, we are asking each rower to raise at least $300 through donations and raffle ticket sales. We are also asking each family to solicit at least one corporate sponsor for the 2026–27 season. This sponsorship outreach can take place during the fall, winter, or spring.
The raffle will take place on Sunday, September 20, from 3:45–4:00 p.m. at the end of the Ergathon/Fall Festival. As an added incentive, the Novice rower and the JV/Varsity rower who raise the most money by September 20 will each win a $25 Wawa gift card.
